Staff Setup Day To-Do List

PREPARE IN ADVANCE

  • Print Rosters
  • Set aside the Site Admin SUB for table set-up

TO-DO

  • Post Employee Sign-In Sheet & have staff sign-in
  • Assign Classrooms to Rangers
  • Assign Adventure Guides to Troops
  • Create the AM SuperPlay schedule (staffed by AGs)
  • Hand out lanyards to AGs based on the grade they are leading.  Review the daily schedule and rotations with the entire team.
  • Tour facility (remember  to point out the staff bathroom!)
  • Set-Up Check-in Table (Lead with Secretary of Shenanigans)
    • Task A: Set Up Check-In Table
    • Task B: Set Up Backpack Drop-Off Area in MPR
    • Task C: Prepare Shirts (alphabetize by grade level) and Add Extra Shirts to Bundles (as indicated on Set-Up Day 1 Roster) 
  • Review Day 1 Check-In Process
    • ProCare Parent Kiosk
    • Getting to the classroom
    • Bathroom Procedures
    • Rehearse  Day 1 assemblies & Troop Time (have your SOS lead this section if possible)
      • Introduce self and troop call-sign
      • Adventure Guide Improv
  • Day 1 Troop Time Games
  • Assembly Roles (Who am I / Blue Slips / TOD)
  • Distribute staff shirts (polo = ranger / t-shirt = AG)  & name tag buttons
  • Site Admin:
    • Check contents of 1st Aid Backpack for completeness
    • Charge & Test 2-Way Radios (walkie-talkies)
