Camp Deliverables Quality Control

1st Grade Class eBook

At the end of camp, each 1st grade class will have published a class-story.  Please ensure that the 1st Grade book has been uploaded from the iPad to the Lemur Library and is titled, “[TITLE] by [CAMP NAME] 1st Grade” (e.g. Balloons by San Mateo 1st Grade.)

Elementary Camper eBooks

At the end of camp, each camper will have published their own story as an eBook.  You are responsible for making sure that all of your camper’s eBooks have been uploaded from iPads to the AIW Camp library.  The eBook Ranger should have uploaded everything, but YOU will be responsible for tracking down missing books.

Using a roster and the AIW Library (http://library.aiwcamp.com) please double-check that all camper books are displaying on the Library before you dismiss the team on Day 10.

Middle School stories and videos

At the end of camp, every middle school camper should have a short-story and a video “animatic.”  The Middle School Ranger should have uploaded everything to the Middle School site, but YOU will be responsible for tracking down missing projects.

Using a roster and the middle school deliverable website, please double-check that all camper work has been uploaded before you dismiss the team on Day 10.

End of Camp Video

Over the course of camp, the Secretary of Shenanigans will be filming clips to make the End of Camp Video.  The video will be played during the end of camp assembly, and sent home to parents via email.

It needs to be completed by 8 pm on the 9th day (final Thursday) of camp and should be entirely (or almost entirely) a series of 2-4 second VIDEO clips, —not still photos. Please have a good mix of:

  1. Fun and work
  2. iPads and paper/pencil writing
  3. Dancing and teachers teaching, etc.
  4. Kids (and staff!) making silly faces, etc. No bored kids please!

The video should be one song long (approximately 3:30 minutes long). Confirm with the Entertainment Ranger on the morning of Day 10 to confirm that the video has been inserted into the Day 10 PM Assembly. (At a minimum, have the video pre-loaded and play it from the Dropbox folder during the assembly)
