Welcome Calls- Employee Welcome Calls

To prevent surprises, personally connect with every member of your team before the first day.  Employee welcome calls should be made on a weekly basis as well, so that members of your team receive a call within ONE WEEK of accepting their offer.  

HOW TO MAKE A STAFF WELCOME CALLStep 1: Login to team.aiwcamp.com. Using the sidebar, click on Report Manager

Step 2: Use drop down to select Staff Roster

Step 3: Click on the phone icon next to the staff name to open the call script.

Step 4: Review employee’s information and the script. Place the call.

Step 5: Record the outcome of your call and click “Submit”

Step 6: Repeat above steps for remaining employees.

 

Ideas for What to Say (and do) During a Staff Welcome Call:

 

  • Preparation
      • Before the call, read their bio on the website (register.aiwcamp.com/sessions and click the “details and pricing” button for your camp session.
  • Getting to know each other:
      • Introduce yourself
      • Ask questions to learn more about them
  • Important Dates:
      • Camp: Confirm dates and hours of the camp
      • Training: Review the dates of the All-Staff training and confirm their attendance
        • All Staff Training Date: _______________________
      • Set-Up Day: Set expectations that they will attend the Site Set Up Day
        • Set-Up Day Date: _________________________
      • Onboarding: Set expectation that all Paycom Onboarding will be completed as soon as possible
        • See if they’re having any issues completing their onboarding 
        • See if they have any questions about their onboarding checklists
  • Setting Expectations
      • Establish your expectations of them (timeliness, attitude, safety, communication, etc)
      • Review expectations of them (as related to the job/role)
  • Communication:
      • What is the best way to contact you? 
      • When is the best time to reach you?
      • Add each others contact contact info to your phones
  • Questions
    • Answer additional questions they may have
