Adventures in Writing Camp will be offering a pair of two week “elementary only” sessions in the “clubhouse” classrooms at Helen Wills Playground this summer. This space is the home to a preschool during the school year, and we will bring in age/size appropriate tables/chairs for the summer. These PacHeights sessions will combine campers entering 2nd and 3rd into one group, and campers entering 4th and 5th into a second group. This location will NOT offer the first grade or middle school programs. The nearest locations with 1st grade and Middle School for this summer will be in the Inner Richmond or Glen Park. Though smaller in scale, these two sessions will still be taught by credentialed teachers, and will feature the same curriculum, music, and activities that have helped so many campers build confidence and fall in love with writing!

Space available in 2nd grade!

Camp Staff

Wileen Chen, Site Administrator

Wileen is excited to return to Adventures in Writing Camp for her second year as a Site Administrator! She is looking forward to seeing familiar faces this year. Currently, Wileen works as an instructional aide with students who have special needs and supports them throughout their school days whether it’s helping them with writing stories or playing tag on the playground. When Wileen isn’t at school, she likes to go to go on hikes, bake cookies, practice yoga, and work in her garden.
